Capital Campaign

We love our spiritual home at First Baptist and are happy to share it with our community. We recognize that while we have been blessed with an amazing property, the church is not the building but rather the ministry we do and the presence we have.

Nevertheless, for years, our building was in disrepair. The roof leaked in multiple places, the windows had become cloudy and did not open and close properly, and there was water damage in our sanctuary and on ceiling tiles in several rooms.

Winter 2015 proved to be a turning point. We like to say that we turned a crisis into a blessing! After suffering significant winter damage from a leaking roof which affected 11 rooms, we accepted a generous insurance settlement and made a plan to do what was necessary to put on a new metal roof, fix the damage, replace the windows, and much more. To fund our plan we needed to launch a capital campaign. This is a three year commitment and we have currently raised over $150,000. Donations have come in all amounts, from $100 up to $15,000.
