We believe that they are not just the future of the church but they are the church right now!
When we return to our building eventually, you'll find our kids handing out bulletins, helping at the church fair, designing cards for our home-bound members, and leading prayer during the worship service.
You'll also find them learning about God and having fun together during Sunday morning church school. After spending the first 15 minutes or so in the church service, the kids gather in the classroom with a skilled teacher who guides them through an experiential Bible lesson.
Before we went on pause due to COVID-19, we were using Deep Blue Kids Learn and Serve One Room Sunday School curriculum. Kids learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus by hearing Bible stories, doing science experiments, playing games, and participating in arts and crafts. Lessons follow the church year and over the course of three to four years, an overview of the whole Bible is achieved.
We look forward to returning to our classroom at some point!
