Stewardship is “church speak” for First Baptist’s Annual Fund. These financial gifts account for the majority of the current year’s ministry budget, with the remainder coming from the renting of our space, income from endowed funds, fundraising such as yard sales, church fairs, etc.
It helps us to know what financial resources will be available each year, which is why we ask members of our congregation to commit a certain amount over a specific length of time. When making a commitment toward our stewardship emphasis, you are showing your intention of paying it in full by December 31.
We celebrate Stewardship Sunday on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Prior to that, we will send you a commitment card in the mail, or you can download our PDF version, complete an online commitment, or contact the Financial Secretary by emailing the Church Office.
While your pledge is not legally binding, we ask that you only pledge an amount that you are comfortable donating. Of course, we all understand that sometimes life happens and should a situation arise that requires you to adjust the amount you initially pledged, please contact our Financial Secretary at email@example.com.
